Fish Fillets with Black Bean and Tomato Sauce Recipes
Ingredients :
1/4 cup light sesame oil
12 oz thick, white fish fillets
2 shallots, sliced
2 tsp ginger, finely shredded
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 tbsp homemade tomato sauce
4 tsp fermented black beans, rinsed and
chopped
1 tbsp Japanese rice vinegar
1/2 cup water
1-2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Method :
Cut
fillet into 1-inch pieces. Heat oil and saute the fish until golden.
Remove with slotted spoon to paper towels and keep warm. Stir the
shallots, ginger, and garlic into the oil and stir-fry until the onion
softens. Add the remaining ingredients, and simmer for 3 minutes.
Carefully return the pieces of fish to the hot sauce, ladle sauce over
fish to coat completely, and simmer for 2 minutes more.
