Method :

Place the chives in a small bowl,
cover with boiling water to soften, then drain.

Trim the tops and tails from the
green and butter beans, divide into 8 bundles and tie each bundle
together with a chive.

Place the bundles in a steamer
over a saucepan half-filled with simmering water or alternatively,
place them in a saucepan with 3 tbsp of water.

Cover the steamer and steam the
beans over medium heat for 5-8 minutes, or until just tender.

Don't allow the water to
completely evaporate - add more if necessary.

Drizzle the bean bundles with the
melted butter and sprinkle with salt, freshly ground black pepper
and parsley.

Serve immediately.
