Method :
Sort rice
from glutinous rice. Wash and soak for 2 hours. Drain well. Transfer
to the big bowl. Add lye and cooked peanut oil. Mix well. Cover bowl
with a wet cloth for 3 hours. For

refer to Rice Dumplings with Pork and Egg. Don't tie
the dumpling too tightly.
Transfer
dumplings into a pot. The boiling water should be sufficient to
cover dumplings. Cook over high heat for 2 1/2 hours. Remove from
heat and cover for 2 hours more. Put syrup
ingredients into wok. Cook over low heat until slightly golden
brown. Remove form heat. Serve with syrup or granulated sugar.
